Digital products are all the rage right now in the business world and honestly I get it – creating something one time, setting it up for sale on your website, and reaping the *mostly* passive benefits for months or even years to come?! SIGN ME UP.

In fact, the majority of the business that we do at The Boutique Lawyer comes in the form of digital products thanks to our Contract Template Shop.

As a business owner myself, I know how confusing and overwhelming the legal side of things can be and there’s a LOT that goes into making sure you have your I’s dotted and your T’s crossed.

As a lawyer though, I had the advantage of making sure that that side of my business world wasn’t so complicated and essentially set out on a mission to help other business owners do the same.

Because let’s be real: you didn’t start your business to spend hours googling what kind of contracts you need or how to write them. You have MUCH better things to be doing, so I thought if I could make that side of your business a bit easier, it’d be a win/win.

Even though I had the legal knowledge and knew how to create contract templates that business owners like you could use, however, I didn’t have tons of knowledge or experience on creating and selling digital products.

The idea was there, but I needed LOTS of help with the execution! And luckily, for you and for me, there are a ton of amazing resources out there to help you successfully launch a digital product.

So, if you’re like me and have a digital product idea, but really aren’t sure how to go about it, below you’ll find my 4 favorite resources for launching a digital product with ease!

4 Resources to Successfully Launch Your Digital Product with Ease

1. Reveal Studio’s Digital Seller’s Copy Kit

Creating a digital product is one thing… but promoting it and selling it? That’s a whole other ball game.

You need a sales page, social media posts, emails, and don’t even get me started on the world of affiliates. If you’ve never navigated something like this before, it can feel insanely overwhelming, which is why I was so excited that my very own launch copywriter, Kaili, created her Digital Seller’s Copy Kit!

In their words, “it’s like having a copywriter & marketing expert in your back pocket — for this launch, the next one, and the next one.”

With this resource, you essentially have someone telling you exactly what to do (and when), handing you professional copy templates, mapping out your social plan, and supporting you with all of your marketing, sales, and copy assets. 🤯

Specifically, it includes:

  • A sales and marketing schedule with built-in to-do lists
  • Social media and email content ideas
  • Landing page template
  • Workshop/Masterclass email templates
  • Promo to offer email funnel template
  • Sales page guide and template
  • Waitlist emails template
  • Online course sales sequence
  • Live launch sales sequence
  • Social media copy for your offer launch
  • Affiliate swipe files

AND SO MUCH MORE! Seriously, it’s insane.

2. Thrivecart or Shopify

So you have the digital product concept, you have the resources to promote and sell it… but WHERE do you actually host the item to do the said selling?!

Great question! If you were to Google that, you’d be bombarded with TONS of options. When I first launched the contract shop, I had heard people talk about all sorts of different platforms and when I started to research them I became very overwhelmed real quick.

The truth is that *most* platforms for selling digital products do a version of the same thing, it simply comes down to specific features that you’re looking for, price points, and functionality.

Throughout the life of my business, I’ve used various platforms, but I feel like I’ve FINALLY found the best of the best. When it comes to hosting and selling digital products, I have two major suggestions: Thrivecart and Shopify.

ThriveCart is one of the most popular e-commerce platforms that specializes in creating and managing shopping carts for online businesses. It allows you to easily set up and customize your checkout pages, process payments securely, manage subscriptions, offer discounts and coupons, and integrate with various third-party tools and services.

In my opinion, ThriveCart is best for those with smaller digital product catalogs, such as a course or membership.

Shopify, on the other hand, is best for those with larger catalogs, similar to that of TBL’s Contract Template Shop.

While both are very similar and popular e-commerce platforms, Shopify allows you to build and manage your online stores from scratch, providing tools for website building, product management, order processing, payment integration, and more.

Overall, Shopify is designed to be a complete solution for building and running an online store and really caters to businesses that need a full suite of e-commerce tools, including website hosting, product management and marketing features.

3. The 8-Day Campaign by Your Social Team

Once you have your digital product set up to sell… then it’s time to actually promote it on Instagram! And if you’re like many business owners, that might make you feel a little queasy. 🤢

No one wants to feel salesy or slimy and if you’re anything like me, you want your audience to feel like you’re there for more than just to earn a buck. But on the flipside of that, you also have to make money as a business owner. So how can you do it in a way that you feel good about?!

There’s a lot of strategies and resources you can use, but my favorite is The 8-Day Campaign by Your Social Team – a repeatable strategy and content system to help you sell more to your organic audience on Instagram and via email.

With The 8-Day Campaign, you’ll learn how to sell any product, offer, coaching program or service, by giving your Instagram audience highly engaging, valuable and entertaining content using the templates of social posts and emails created for you!

4. The Reels Report Membership by Laura Bitoiu

If I was a betting person, I would easily bet you a LOT of money that you can’t scroll your social media feeds each day without seeing someone dancing to a trending audio.

It’s a normal thing these days and I personally think we have 2020 to thank for that. What once started as an app for teens to use for fun dances quickly became something that everyone and their mom (literally) were using.

And then the next thing you know, people went from dancing to Savage to suddenly using this new video first platform as a way to actually market their business… wild times, am I right??

At the time, it might’ve felt crazy, but what’s even crazier is that the concept of trending sounds, cringe dances and video first marketing stuck around.  And of course Instagram had to jump on the bandwagon.

When Reels was introduced to the app, I admittedly thought: “Great… one more thing we have to figure out and adapt to.” In the name of staying relevant, I did, and to this day, like many, I still use Reels as a primary way of making content for Instagram.

But guess what? I DON’T lip sync or take part in the cringy dancing… I simply won’t do it! And you know what’s really cool? It doesn’t change the way my Reels perform. But I can’t take credit for that on my own!

I owe a huge portion of it to The Reels Report Membership by Laura Bitoiu, which is designed to help you save time and stay ahead of the trends on social media.

With the help of Laura’s prompts and a wholeeeee lot of b-roll, I can jump on trends faster and reach new eyeballs WITHOUT spending thousands of dollars on ad spend – and that’s music to a business owner’s ears, right?! 🎶

YOU can do the exact same thing, but before you hop on the Reels train, make sure you’re following the proper guidelines to avoid any legal headaches in the future.

Overall, launching a digital product can be a great additional stream of income for your business and can be very lucrative. To really experience success with it AND achieve sustainability, however, you want to do it right from the very start, which is why having a few go-to resources to help you do just that is key.

My hope is that this list gives you a starting point to gaining the knowledge and confidence you need to launch your digital product with ease!
